MayesTek
is the software creator of programs designed for use in small to medium health care offices. The primary focus is on forms/reports
generation for PI and WC cases in California, although the PI portion particularly may be used in any state.
Please
note that we also do custom programming for other businesses as well. Business ypes that we have worked with in the
past include insurance, electrical engineering, and legal.
Among the programs that we have available
is a small TimeCard program for simple logging in and out of employees. They can also clock out to lunch and in from
lunch. Hours are automatically calculated. The program is currently set up for bi-monthly periods (1st throught
the 15th, and 16th through the end of the month). Reporting is available for each employee.
MedTek Complete
Practice Management &
Report Generating Software
MedTek Complete, to be released soon, is
a complete solution incorporating relational database, forms completion, report generation, and scheduling in a single application.
This software is designed to ease paperwork in a physician’s office. It is best
used for a starting office, so that there is no need for transitioning, but may be used for any office. The
program requires that Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel be previously installed, and is written for Microsoft Windows only.
Please note that the program works over a network, provided that the user has read/write privileges to the folder containing
the program.
MedTek Complete is, in essence, a relational database. A relational
database is simply a number of databases that are linked together. They are linked internally, which means
that the user does not need to work with a number of different databases. The main database is that for patients.
It is linked to databases fore providers, insurances, attorneys, employers, and procedures. The
linking is handled entirely by the software, and the user normally works only with the patient database.

Complete keeps separate lists, with full information (name, address, phone, fax, and all other pertinent information) for
the following, not including the patient list itself:
- Providers
(Listing of physicians and other providers, such as licensed acupuncturists or masseuse). This
section also includes license and Tax ID information, as well as name of specialty and NPI and DEA numbers.
- Employers
- Attorneys
- Insurance Companies
The reasoning behind keeping separate
lists is simple.
If you are a provider and have multiple patients referred from a specific attorney, and
that attorney were to move, you would only need to update the attorney’s information a single time rather than for each
patient.
In addition, during patient data entry, you may select the applicant attorney, defense attorney,
insurance, or employer from a previously entered list.
This will help to ensure accuracy in the list.
The beauty of this software is that, combined with the relational database concept described above,
other specific features have been included. These features include several different schedules for different
types of doctors, the creation of forms with patient information already entered, billing, and report templates.
The software is intuitive, and is ready to use as soon as it is installed.
The purpose
of the software is equally simple. To provide a chiropractic or medical office with a simple, easily understood,
single program to meet their needs. Much of the paperwork used in a physician’s office is repetitive
in nature. This software will assist the physician’s office in preparing the paperwork.
